2022 W-2s are in the mail. Due to a printing error, employees will receive a duplicate W-2 for each employer they worked for in 2022.
Employees can easily identify a duplicate W-2 by reviewing box C (Employer’s name, address, and zip code) and box 1 (wages, tips, other compensation). The W-2 is a duplicate if the information in these two boxes matches another W-2 that you received in the mail.
After identifying a duplicate W-2, Consumer Direct Care Network Idaho (CDID) recommends destroying it. You will not need the duplicate W-2 information to complete your tax return.
